Sabrina Jeffries' back titles!

Recently, the bookshop that I regularly go to stocked up on its back titles for Sabrina Jeffries. Not wanting to miss the opportunity to read them, as it is hard to get them, I quickly grabbed them. ;D

The Pirate Lord is about a love between the most feared pirate in all the seas and a lady disguised as a teacher on a ship full of convict women heading for Australia. One day, he captured her ship with the intention of taking the women to start off his own er...colony. ^_^" Apparently, he and his men are tired of pirating and is now thinking of settling down. So, what better way to do that by capturing women instead of treasures? ;D So, off they go to an uncharted island to start building their paradise. But they didn't expect the women to protest so much being convicts and all. It was the lady disguised as a teacher's fault. Being a daughter of a reformer, she provoked the pirate lord and stood up for women's rights. So, instead of taking them by force, the women were given a a few weeks to reconsider or else their choice would be taken from them. ;D How uncivilized. hehehe

The Forbidden Lord on the other hand, is about the brother of the said lady above. He is the no-nonsense kind of guy when it comes to managing the estate but a casual womanizer when it comes to relationships. One day, he stumbles across a country girl disguised during a masquerade ball and mistakenly assumed that she was a lose woman who wants a quick tumble. When the truth was out, he still kissed her for the heck of it. After that, he couldn't keep her out of his mind. Months later, he encounters her again, but she is not who he thought she was. She looks the same but she has a different name and acts differently! However, one kiss from this pretender, made him realise she was one and the same. Determined to reveal the truth, he stalks her, which is very unlike him. Determination led to obsession, and obsession finally led to love. ;D

Well, the story is predictable but I'm reading it because it's Sabrina Jeffries. Overall scoring, I'd give them a 3 out of 5. ^_^"

"Pirate Lord" and "Forbidden Lord"...?! -_-

Who thinks up the names of the titles of these kind of books?!

Well, the plot of the pirate one sounds quite amusing and somewhat corny... I dunno... I just don't understand how people can be excited about reading a story with such a plot, if it is not just for humour. :D
