Hmm, what's so dangerous about him already? :D

The final title out of the The Lord series! ;D hehehe

This one is about a guy who's trying to find a wife desperately but she must be docile enough so that she doesn't bother him too much after suiting his purpose of securing his inheritence.

But always foiling his attempts in finding a wife is this mysterious Lord X that's writing gossip columns about him and painting him in a bad light.

This Lord X happens to be a lady who is writing to support her siblings and herself. After their father died, they were left with almost nothing and plenty of unpaid debts.

The reason she has been writing bad stuff about him is because she didn't think that he is suitable for the object of his supposed affections, who happens to be a very close friend of hers.

Determine to stop this Lord X from further ruining his reputation, he finally manages to discover the real identity. But he can't possibly beat her into silence with her being a lady, so he threatens her instead. However, that didn't stop her from writing about him. ;)

When threatening her didn't work, he kissed her instead! From that moment on, he decides to take her as his wife but she was too stubborn. Eventually, she marries him and they fall in love etc, etc.

The 'dangerous' thing about this story is that he has a secret that he keeps to himself. Everybody suspects that he has a mistress and how could they not when he actually lets a woman stay in one of his houses? Moreover, she has a child! Well, Lord X discovers something more and the supposed truth didn't bode well either. It was said that he was protecting the lady from his uncle because she knows the truth about him (the main guy of this story). He was rumored to have had an affair with his uncle's wife and once they were discovered, the wife killed herself and he fled England. But who's to know....

After gorging myself with Sabrina Jeffries' novels and reading the different stories, I can see the similarities in the characters' behaviour that I would have never discovered had I not read them in sequence. The girls are always the proper kind but pretending to be something else or hiding a secret, like an identity. And the guys are always the tough types with a dark past hidden somewhere. Once they fall in love and are more open to their affections, they act like a bunch of love sick fools.

Funny, how I'm talking like this about romance novels that I like to read so much. I guess I'm beginning to reach my limit.....bwa-hahahaha!!!! As if!!! Even though I know the weak side of romance stories, that doesn't mean I'd stop reading them! ;D

This novel though I'd give a 3 out of 5. ;)

Hah! I knew that was going to be the plot of the story! It was so predictable... read one romance novel you've read 'em all!
